NOTICE IS HEREBY given that the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Village of Montebello will hold a public hearing at the Village Hall, One Montebello Road, in the Village of Montebello, New York on the 15^th  day of May 2008 at 7:45 p.m. for the purpose of conducting a hearing for the following matters:

 

Application of Timothy Cronin, 96 Viola Road, Montebello, New York 10901 for variance from the provisions of Article IV, Sect. 195-3, Use Group h, Cols. 2,4 & 5 (existing conditions) 6 & 9 - Minimum Lot Area (required 50,000 ft. - proposed 38,220 ft.); Front yard and Front Setback (existing condition of Spring House, required 50 ft. - proposed 0 ft.); Front Yard and Front Setback  existing condition of dwelling ( required 50 ft. - proposed 15.3 ft.); Side Setback existing ice house (required 30 ft. - proposed 10.6 ft.); and Rear Setback and rear existing two story barn (required 50 ft. - proposed 31.5 ft.)  of the Zoning Local Law of the Village of Montebello to permit construction, maintenance and use of a subdivision of one lot into two lots.  The premises which are the subject of this application are located on the north side of Viola Road approximately 0 feet west of Spook Rock Road in the Village of Montebello, which is known and designated on the Ramapo Tax Map as Section 49.05, Block 1 and Lot 15 in a RR-50 Zone.

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, that a Public Hearing will be held by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Montebello on Wednesday, May 21, 2008 at 8:00 p.m. local time, or as soon thereafter as the matter can be heard, at Village Hall, One Montebello Road, Montebello, New York 10901, to consider substantial revisions to the Tree Preservation Law, Chapter 176 of the Code of the Village of Montebello, including: licensing tree removal contractors; establishing a Tree Fund, and providing for Compensatory Payment to same in appropriate circumstances in lieu  of a Compensatory Planting; continuing the concepts that diseased, dead, or trees which impose public safety are exceptions, but adding that the diseased condition be of such a nature as to render the tree dead within a year ; changing the exception per lot for the removal of healthy trees to one (1) tree per each 10,000 square feet per each two (2) year period, but in no event to exceed eight (8) trees per lot regardless of area per such period, or twelve (12) trees per lot regardless of area per each six (6) year period; and, generally providing a more specific fine structure for a violation, as well as providing for remediation, and loss of license or suspension for the removal contractors found in violation. All interested persons should review the proposed Law in its entirety.

 

All members of the public and all interested parties are invited to attend and participate.  The proposed Local Law will be available for inspection and review at the Village Clerk's Office during normal working hours, Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, that a Public Hearing will be held by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Montebello on Wednesday, May, 21, 2008 at 8:00 p.m. local time, or as soon thereafter as the matter can be heard, at the Village Hall, One Montebello Road, Montebello, Rockland County, New York, to receive public comment concerning entering into a cable franchise agreement between the Village of Montebello and Verizon New York, Inc.

 

All members of the public and all interested parties are invited to attend and participate. The Franchise Application and proposed Franchise Agreement are available for inspection and review at the Village Clerk's Office, Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
